Join us to learn more about the feminist theory and faces behind SGP’s communities of practice: Gender Circles! SGP Circles started as an opportunity to engage a community of gender professionals built on feminist principles and leaderless group approaches. This event celebrates the development of SGP Circles. Circle co-leads will share their experiences, approaches, and plans with the aim of engaging participants in developing existing Circles and creating new Circles based on common thematic and geographical interests. Participants can also expect to learn more about the research behind circles and their feminist leadership, get a chance to hear from some current Circles about the exciting work they have been accomplishing, and even find information on starting their own circle.

Kelly Grace, PhD, is a mixed-methods researcher and Teaching Fellow in Foundations of Leadership at Nazarbayev University in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. Her research examines issues related to gender socialization processes in education, with a focus on the Cambodian education system. In addition to her primary research interests, which focus on barriers and supports related to gender in early childhood education and primary school programs, her work also examines the impact of Chbab Srey, or the Cambodian rules for women, on educational experiences.

- Dr. Carmen Poston-Farmer
- Carmen is the Director of Student Affairs & Initiatives at Montgomery College, where she founded, developed and implemented the Student Health and Wellness Center for Success. She has a Ed.D., doctorate of education degree, in Educational Leadership and Management, with a concentration in Global and International Education, a dual Master's degree in Public Policy and Administration, and Bachelor’s in Business Administration. She is also an advanced Mind-Body Medicine Trainer and recently started a new company, B.L.O.W. breath.live.overcome.win that focuses on enrichment and self-care. She has published and presented domestically and internationally, including a presentation on The Status of Women: Care and Security Considering a Crisis and beyond. She is a member, and the former executive director, for the American Association for Women in Community Colleges. She is currently an SGP circle lead and served as a SGP delegate for the 65th session of CSW.

- Sreevidya Varma, is an employment lawyer whose practice is focused on conducting impartial workplace investigations.She is a legal consultant with SASHA (www.sashaindia.com), a leading NGO in India, that supports organisations in prevention of sexual harassment at workplace. She is also the founder of Lex Peritias, Bangalore based investigations law firm, specialising in workplace harassment investigations. Sreevidya regularly conducts awareness sessions and impartial investigations on wokrplace sexual harassment complaints. She has been member of the SGP workplace sexual harassment circle.

- Brenna Miaira Kutch
- Brenna has spent their career with human resources, organizational equity and inclusion, and administration. This experience includes time in higher education, Mercy Corps, USAID, and volunteering for various organizations advocating for LGBTQI, gender, and social justice - including with the Society of Gender Professionals as treasurer and co-lead of the Breaking Gender & Sex Binaries community of practice (circle). They also hold a Masters in Public Administration in HR Management from Portland State University.

- Kate Wilson is the Founder of Resourced Reimagined, a consultancy focused on mindset, growth and equality. Her mission is to help them redefine and reimagine the resources at their fingertips and grow their impact along the way.

In the past decade, she has worked in impact investing, social enterprise consulting, and corporate finance at organizations such as Upaya Social Ventures, UNICEF, McKinsey & Company, and Net Impact New York. Aparna hopes to create a world where people dare to offer equity and unconditional dignity to one another. She sees social entrepreneurship, financial innovation, and participative policymaking as powerful change agents. She strives to make her vision a reality through her current volunteer positions with a social enterprise creating solutions for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and a fair trade non-profit. Aparna is a dedicated member at the Breaking Sex/Gender Binaries Circle at SGP.
